PANEL ONE
Decker’s kitchen.
Decker is worn out and tired. He’s looking in the fridge for a beer.
Lester however is in the mood for a confrontation.
LESTER
I want to talk to you.
DECKER
I didn’t bring you anything, Lester.
I’m just getting back from the restaurant, and I’m tired.
Long day.
PANEL TWO
LESTER
I’ve had a long day, too.
DECKER
Did you?
LESTER
I did.
PANEL THREE
Decker has his head in his hands, exasperated.
DECKER
(small)
Oh, god.
Look…
PANEL FOUR
DECKER
…I bought a big house so that we could both be in it and still not have to see each other. Your mother understands the arrangement.
PANEL FIVE
Lester is unfazed. He will have this conversation.
Decker is pleading.
LESTER
I feel you’ve failed me as a father.
DECKER
Oh, come on.
