She looks haggard and very uninterested in being there.
DOROTHY
I’m out of bed. The kid is at daycare. I’m at my station.
Where’s my f’ing medal?
PANEL TWO
DOROTHY
After last night, walking through the door was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.
And I gave birth.
PANEL THREE
Crystal enters and greets Dorothy with a wide smile and enthusiasm. She’s still high from getting Decker’s vote of confidence and new responsibility.
Dorothy is not interested in hearing Crystal’s joyful noise.
CRYSTAL
I feel like I’ve got the world by the danglers today.
Going to be an awesome day to make a difference!
How are you, Dee?
PANEL FOUR
Dorothy is not pleased.
Crystal isn’t really registering what Dorothy’s saying.
DOROTHY
No.
You don’t get to call me ‘Dee’.
You don’t get to be happy.
You don’t get to talk that way.
PANEL FIVE

DOROTHY
Nobody gets to talk that way.
Not today!
